The adventure of Akkurtlar started by Rüstem Akkurt, the grandfather of Akkurt's family.
Based on the need that emerged with the widespread use of vehicles in Istanbul, he started with passenger transportation for a long time by buying a vehicle. In 1979, the first industrial establishment in Samandıra(Region of Istanbul)was put into operation.
However, providing the service of these organizations by Akkurtlar has been a new beginning for Akkurtlar in this field.
It was run by Mahir AKKURT as a sole proprietorship until 1987. In 1997, the service and transportation services grew and continued their activities under the name of Akkurtlar Turizm Nakliyat ve Gıda Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi.
Akkurtlar; it serves in the Head Office with 3.500 m² parking area and 5.500 m² total covered area. Also with offices in Istanbul European side (Kağıthane), Kocaeli Gebze (TOSB), İzmir (Bornova) and Manisa operates in many cities in Turkey.
Akkurtlar growing day by day; it has expanded its scope of activities by starting to provide personnel transportation, student transportation, VIP transfer, car rental and organization services to institutions and organizations.
It facilitates the daily lives of people by providing daily transportation services to 55,000 people with a total of 2,500 vehicles in the cities of operation.
